BBCOR Bats have the Feel of Wood
BBCOR certified baseball bats are designed to mimic the feel of a wood bat in the way it swings and hits the ball. The only thing missing is the crack of the ball meeting the wooden bat that brings back memories of growing up playing baseball or sitting in the stands at a pro baseball game. The baseball began in the 1850s with no standard for baseball bats. Today that has all changed in order to help make the sport fair for all. While high school bats are rarely composed of wood, they are required to be the new BBCOR bats. Once again, this is to give the players the feel of wood without the weight, allowing young players to have fun.
BBCOR certified baseball bats are being enforced for all high school bats used in a league. The new BBCOR bats are more responsive and rarely have the break-in period required on wooden bats. Most of the new high school bats are formed out of a one solid piece, making the construction give the best stiffness and durability for the playing of not only high school baseball but also college as well.
